OUR FACILITIES
GWR proudly operates from a state-of-the-art 16,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, based in Liverpool.
For over 35 years, we have honed our skills in delivering tailor-made solutions that cater to the unique needs of each customer. Utilising only the best machinery and equipment, we deliver first-class bespoke solutions – from steel pressings to waste containers. Today, our impressive facilities boast:
DOWNSTROKE PRESS
Our hydraulic presses are powerhouses of precision bending. We use five 160-tonne presses to supply the force behind the complex bends and contours that shape our constructions. These powerful machines use hydraulic power to generate the immense pressure required to compress and shape metals, quickly and efficiently.

Our industrial shears put us a cut above the competition. A pair of 3 metre shears are indispensable on the factory floor, cutting steel sheet metal to size with precision and efficiency. The guillotine shearer creates minimal waste, saving money on clean-up and raw materials so we can deliver better value to our customers.

GRW products are big, rugged and heavy, a large RORO container can weigh over 2 tonnes. Moving raw materials and finished products safely and efficiently around our manufacturing facilities is crucial. A pair of 5 tonne overhead cranes glide above the factory floor without obstructing operations below.

Our investment in CNC roller equipment has enhanced our manufacturing capabilities and allows us to lead the way in metal fabrication and design through innovation. We work extensively with ferrous materials through a range of material thicknesses from 0.5mm to 6mm. We can roll a range of shapes, including conical, oval, and shapes of varying radii, with repeated accuracy.
MAGNETIC PARTICLE INSPECTION (MPI) TESTING
Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPi) is a crucial non-destructive testing (NDT) method used to detect surface and slightly subsurface defects in ferromagnetic materials by magnetising the steel and applying fine magnetic particles to the surface. Its ability to detect minute flaws that could lead to structural failures makes it an invaluable tool for GWR quality control and preventive maintenance
